The Commission Process

Step 01

Consultation & Sketch

We discuss your vision, space constraints, and aesthetic goals. I provide initial sketches and mood boards.

Step 02

Clay & Form

Selecting the perfect clay body. The raw material is then thrown on the wheel or meticulously hand-built.

Step 03

Glaze & Fire

After a bisque fire, custom glazes are applied. The piece undergoes a final high-temperature kiln firing.

Step 04

Delivery

The finished piece is sanded, thoroughly quality-checked, safely packaged, and shipped or installed on-site.

Client Voices

Words of Appreciation

"Working with Oliver was a revelation. We needed a signature look for our new restaurant's plating, and he delivered 300 pieces of absolutely stunning, durable stoneware. The soft pastel glazes he formulated completely elevated our culinary presentation."

Sarah Jenkins
Executive Chef, The Botanist

"I commissioned a large floor vase for a high-end residential interior project. Oliver's understanding of form and texture is unmatched. The piece commands the room with a quiet, organic elegance. My clients were brought to tears when they saw it installed."

Marcus Thorne
Principal Interior Designer

"We host exclusive wellness retreats and wanted our dining ware to reflect our ethos of mindfulness and grounding. Oliver's matte porcelain bowls are not just functional; they are tactile experiences. Holding them brings a sense of calm to every meal."

Elena Rostova
Founder, Aura Retreats

"Finding an artisan who can handle a custom tile job with such precision is rare. Oliver created a bespoke geometric backsplash for our kitchen remodel. The slight variations in the handmade tiles catch the morning light beautifully, adding soul to the architecture."

Frequently Asked Questions

Because every piece is handcrafted and kiln firing schedules vary, standard commissions typically take 6 to 8 weeks from design approval to delivery. Larger commercial runs may require 10-12 weeks. I prioritize quality over speed.

Yes. I use specialized art-handling packaging techniques, including double-boxing and custom foam inserts, to ensure safe transit worldwide. All shipments are fully insured against breakage during transit.

Absolutely. All dinnerware and functional vessels are fired to maturity, making them vitrified and non-porous. I use exclusively lead-free, food-safe glazes. While they are dishwasher and microwave safe, hand washing is recommended for longevity.

I specialize in custom glaze formulation. While the alchemy of the kiln means exact Pantone matching is impossible, I can create targeted test tiles based on your fabric swatches or paint chips to get incredibly close to your desired palette.
